Those of you who think you know everything about RPGs online now have your chance to prove it! RPG Nexxus is always looking for a few good editors to help write articles, keep listings up to date, improve categories, post responses and make sure we don't miss the important stuff.

Required Duties

• Choose a category from the Gateway and/or Complete as your primary interest
  
• Review, validate and delete (as necessary) links in your Gateway section
  
• Invite new webmasters to enter their sites at the Gateway and join the Nexxus
  
• Post in the forums (Crossings is a good way to catch them all) at least twice/week
  
• Participate in the Gateway forums, particularly, to review RPG sites and award Gold Wyrms

And, choose one of the following

• Enter at least one new product per week into Complete
  
• Write at least one new article or create one new setting / module / creature per week for Hearth
  
• Add at least one page per week into Tales
  
• Write or locate at least one new article per week for Herald

Skill Requirements

Knowledge of your area. If you haven't already given me a good reason to consider you an expert in your field, do so now. I have lots of requests; only people with real RPG backgrounds and experience can help. I'm really after the knowledge of your favorite RPG which you already have in your head.

Some basic knowledge of HTML is nice, so you can boldface and all that neat stuff, but really not essential. Good organization skills are required, as our category system can be complex. A cool temper is always handy, although we'll allow you to spout off in the Staff forums if you like. Some thick-skin and a willingness to work with a team are musts.

Benefits

Besides prestige, you'll have the opportunity to earn occasional RPG items as part of the network. By inserting your site's URL in your sig, you'll increase your page rank and by posting well-thought-out responses, you'll pull more traffic through those links. Finally, by helping us build the resource, it gets better for everyone. You may find you're able to change the direction of sections in ways that benefit you -- help you get the information you want more quickly.

Possible Issues

• This is not an opportunity to glorify your own site or company. Any mucking about with ratings will be checked and curtailed. While we'd love to review your site / games / stories and have them do well in the listings, it needs to be done fairly -- by someone else.
  
• If you get into this, then discover you don't have the time and/or the aptitude, please SAY SO. I'm happy to pull you back out of the editor's file if need be ... I will not be mad and will not block you from the site (we have already had two editors leave due to time constraints and return).
